MOOD BOARD 1ST PRIZE

EIML PARIS

Every year, EIML Paris organizes a competition for its Master’s students to create the best fashion moodboard. This exercise is an essential part of the luxury sector, allowing product managers to develop ideas and inspiration that help the creative team transform conceptual ideas into tangible reality.

The competition includes:

  •     Choosing a trend theme based on current fashion news.

  •     Researching materials, fabrics, and visuals that align with the chosen theme.

  •     Developing a color palette that complements the theme.

  •     Creating a visually appealing and organized layout of the work in moodboard format.

The jury, consisting of EIML Paris students, Mrs. Glon (Collectionning professor), and Elodie de Boissieu (school director), evaluates the submissions. The judging process includes a short oral presentation and an examination of several key criteria:

  •     The ability to reflect on and analyze current fashion trends, and to make informed decisions.

  •     General knowledge, curiosity, and creativity.

  •     The capacity to synthesize information effectively.

  •     Efficiency in collecting visuals and information.

  •     Artistic sensitivity and the skill to lay out a concept in a cohesive and engaging way.

This competition serves as an invaluable learning experience, helping students refine their skills in fashion analysis, creative thinking, and presentation.
